Understanding Installations

An installation is a single tracking project — usually one webshop or brand — sitting inside your workspace. It’s where you configure how Metrion captures conversions and where they get sent.

What an installation contains

Each installation holds:

  • A unique installation key + secret. Used to pair the Metrion plugin on your shop with this installation.

  • Generic settings. Name, timezone, whether to include shipping costs and VAT in conversion values.

  • A CMP. The consent management platform on your site (Cookiebot, Complianz, OneTrust, etc.).

  • A CMS. The shop platform you’re running on (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Shopware, BigCommerce).

  • One or more domains. The websites attached to the installation.

  • One or more destinations. The ad-platform accounts that conversions can be sent to.

Where to find your installations

Open Tracking → Installations in the left sidebar. The page shows every installation in the workspace as a card. Each card displays:

  • The installation name and ID

  • Active status

  • Type (currently always “Installation”)

  • CMS

  • Number of domains and destinations attached

  • Number of Syncs configured, with a “View all” link

  • Date the installation was created

Click any card to open the installation detail page, where you can edit settings, manage domains, manage destinations, or delete the installation.

Switching the active installation

Pages that show installation-scoped data — Syncs, Reporting, Launchpad — use the workspace selector at the top right to filter. To switch to a different installation, click the selector and pick the installation you want to work in.
